Purpose and Mission

The purpose and mission of Breast Health Initiative Day is to help prevent and alleviate disability related to Breast Health, Breast Trauma and Breast Cancer.

We are committed and prepared to help lessen the Breast Disease crisis currently on the rise within the United States.

02

Outreach

Through this outreach we are educating the general public regarding the importance and differences of mammograms and ultrasounds.  We network with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, and physical/occupational therapists by providing educational opportunities with CME/CEU credits offered in the field of Breast Health. Through this outreach to nurse practitioners and physician assistants, we are making them aware of the need and opportunities in Breast Health Education.

03

Making A Difference

A significant difference can and will be made through thorough education and knowledge of prevention methods and also through the supply and demand of Breast Health caregivers.

This year, an estimated 42,170 women will die from breast cancer in the U.S.

On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States.

64% of breast cancer cases are diagnosed at a localized stage (there is no sign that the cancer has spread outside of the breast), for which the 5-year survival rate is 99%.

Although rare, men get breast cancer too. In 2020, an estimated 2,620 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in the U.S. and approximately 520 will die.

We are committed and prepared to help lessen the Breast Cancer crisis in America by providing Breast Health CEU’s Credit with the following topics:
